Tile Trim Process
Over the years the tile industry has transitioned from mud set to thin set or mastic installations. This has seriously reduced the availability of quarter round tile trim. However, there remain sections of the country that prefer mud set installations. American Bullnose Company can produce quarter round tile trim for virtually every tile.
· The quarter round tiles are manufactured using "blank" A-106 bisque
tile, having a one inch radius with a length of six inches (nominal).
· Quarter round tile can be cut down to any modular size for a nominal fee.
· Most orders will be completed within three weeks of American Bullnose Company receiving your sample tile.
· Because the glaze matching for quarter round tile is achieved digitally, there are never dye lot differences.
· Our manufacturing process allows American Bullnose Company to produce small or large quantity quarter round tile orders with the same efficiency.
· For pricing, delivery times or other information please contact the location nearest you.
· To see how the process works, see the graphic on the Tile Trim Process tab (above right).

process used by American Bullnose Company.
The customer sends us a tile that they would like matched. From this sample tile we can produce matching quarter round or finger cove tile. The sample tile must be at least as large as the finished tile trim piece. American Bullnose Company can match ceramic, porcelain (glazed or unglazed) or natural stone field tile.
American Bullnose Company uses blank bisque tile (A-106) with a one-inch radius and six inch nominal length. For quarter round we use the convex side and for finger cove we use the concave side of the A-106.
We digitally reproduce the colors of your field tile and apply the glazes to the tile trim. The trim piece is then kiln fired. Typically, we make several different reproductions of your tile resulting in multiple patterns on your tile trim.
“The American Bullnose Company Tile Trim Process” results in a matching piece of tile trim. The trim tile is boxed and ready for pickup or shipment. Because of the lightweight of the tile trim, shipment by UPS is very affordable.
