Factory Edge Bullnose
Factory edge bullnose is produced for customers requiring the highest quality finish.
Your field tile is cut first to the desired width and then bullnosed on the cut edge. This technique maintains the field tiles original factory edge opposite the bullnosed edge. A maximum of two pieces of bullnose can be produced using this method, with a minimum width of 3 1/2 inches per piece of bullnose.
Bullnose without a factory edge is produced for customers requiring the maximum amount of bullnose per field tile. The number of pieces of bullnose is limited only by the
width of the bullnose divided by the width of the field tile. By using this method, there is no minimum width on the bullnose. The field tile is bullnosed on opposite edges, then cut to your specifications. The remaining piece of field tile is then bullnosed on opposite edges, and again cut to your specifications. This process can be repeated as long as the width of the remaining piece of field tile is 4 inches or larger. Bullnose without a factory edge represents 95% of our orders.
· Full size bullnose is produced for customers requiring bullnose on a full size piece of
tile.
· Corner bullnose is available on all of the above options.
· Radius bullnose is available to solve unique installation situations such as under mount sinks, tubs, etc.
· Due to our custom capabilities, your bullnosing options are unlimited.

Using American Bullnose Company eliminates dye lot issues, back order situations, availability and special size problems.
Our online survey shows that 15% of the issues that arise in the tile industry are bullnose related. Some bullnose is fabricated using a "cold glaze" (paint) that is applied to the bullnose edge. At American Bullnose Company we always use a kiln fired glaze for a long lasting durable finish. We have nationwide locations to service our customers. Each of our locations has an on-site owner to address and solve our customer's bullnose issues.
Often field tile is available but the bullnose is back ordered. Because we use your field tile, bullnose is always available and there is never a back order situation. Because installers become desperate, bullnose is installed that does not match the field tile.
Some of our competitors apply a "cold glaze" (paint) to the bullnose edge, which initially looks fine; ultimately this is a finish that has no durability. Unlike "cold glaze" (painted) edge bullnose (pictured) American Bullnose Company applies a glaze that is kiln fired resulting in a long lasting durable finish.
Some tile companies provide bullnose with an unglazed edge. These edges not only do not match the tile but also are difficult to maintain. American Bullnose Company always glazes and re-fires the edges of glazed tiles.
Some tile companies often make their field tile and bullnose in separate factories and/or at different times resulting in a non-matching bullnose. Because we fabricate your bullnose from your field tile the results are a perfectly matched bullnose.
A tile installation without bullnose creates an unsightly edge, impossible to clean.
Plastic and metal tile trim profiles produce an unsightly tile installation.

Some of our competitors apply (“cold glaze”) paint on the bullnose edges they produce. This paint with normal wear and cleaning is likely to fail. American Bullnose Company always uses kiln-fired glazes on our bullnose edges for a long lasting durable finish. Please take a moment to watch the "cold glaze" video below.
